Our Signature Coffee

There’s no easier way to ruin a great dining experience than by serving a bad cup of coffee. For me, the coffee needs to be at least as good as everything coming out of the kitchen. Our quest for great coffee led us throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine — taste-testing dozens of micro-roasted varieties to find the perfect complement to your meal.

We went through several suppliers, each time migrating to a smaller roaster, until we eventually found A & E Roastery of Amherst NH. We’ve been serving A&E coffee for almost three years now. Emily calls us on Tuesday, the coffee is roasted on Wednesday, it’s packed on Thursday, and arrives at our doorstep on Friday. Ted, our UPS driver, always looks forward to Friday; he says the aroma of the freshly-roasted coffee beans is by far the best of the week! Each bag is dated to ensure that you get the freshest (and therefore best-tasting) coffee possible.

We offer four varieties of A&E:

  • Organic Impresso Espresso Blend — A blend for the perfect espresso or brewed cup, offering an array of flavors starting with a bright burst and ending with a long, lingering finish to savor and enjoy.
  • King’s Corner Cafe Blend — From a snappy beginning to a bittersweet finish, this blend features all three roast levels to create a cup that highlights all the qualities the Colombian has to offer.
  • Mexican SWP Decaf — Grown at 4000 feet atop the Sierra Madre range in western Mexico, the Strictly High Grown (SHG) Typica and Bourbon varietals are grown among an abundant and diverse shade canopy, which is described by the Smithsonian as truly “Bird Friendly”. A medium-bodied coffee, it offers a smooth and balanced character, with a soft nutty finish.
  • Decaf Organic Impresso Espresso SWP Blend — just like the original, but without the caffeine.

We have a dozen or so varieties of Monin All-Natural Syrups, including sugar-free flavors, if you like to add a little something to your coffee.

When it’s busy we’ll brew a pot of the Impresso Espresso Blend for those that prefer a more robust taste, or you might decide to try an Americano instead.
