About Us

A great dining experience − that’s our commitment to our customers. From the friendliest staff to the tastiest delights, our goal is to keep you coming back for more.

A Little Background Music

We’re Steve and Mary McRae. For the past four and a half years we’ve been orchestrating the experience here. Our daughter, Heather, can be spotted on occasion. The Kings (Ron, Jerri and Donna) wrote the original melody over a dozen years ago and we’ve been embellishing, enriching and enhancing ever since. Donna is still our concert-master (and many will tell you she’s really the conductor but don’t let Steve know). The Cafe itself is a syncopated improvisation. From our red, yellow, blue and green tableware to the art on our walls, the atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming.

Culinary Delights

Steve has always loved to cook, and everyone has always loved Steve’s cooking. Part of the passion is in using the best ingredients we can find and in combining them in new and delightful ways. Whether it’s our home fries cooked in olive oil with garlic and rosemary, our Belgian malted waffles with baked apples and whipped cream, our black bean and corn salsa, or one of Steve’s specialty soups and chowders, there’s always something new to savor at King’s Corner Cafe. The Best Breakfast (and Lunch!) in Town.

Java

Mary is passionate about coffee and leads the trio of baristas. We looked far and wide to bring you what we consider to be some of the best tasting coffee available. The quest for the best beans led us to A&E Roastery − a small micro-roaster located in Amherst, New Hampshire. Their coffees are organically grown, fair trade, and roasted to order, so you know you’re getting the freshest cup possible without roasting your own. Whether it’s a cup of our own King’s Corner blend to start your day, a creamy latte or silky smooth cappuccino, we take tremendous pride in the quality of the notes.

Libations

Raise a glass or a frosty mug. We have a wonderful selection of boutique wines and local beers as well as your favorites. Champagne cocktails to add some sparkle to your day, as well as bloody marys. We’re a family-friendly establishment; alcohol served only with meals, and of course only to those of legal drinking age.

Special Requests

If you have any special requests, don’t hesitate to ask. Steve will personally discuss you or your child’s food allergies or dietary restrictions with you and make sure your meal is delectable as well as safe.

Here in the small community of Lincoln we know you have many choices − we hope you’ll give us a try. Stop in and say “hello.” Who knows – you just might become a “regular.”
